Overhaul of user rights in Centric PLM

Presentation 👋

Founded in the late 1940s, this French luxury leather goods house is internationally renowned for its know-how and heritage in the world of leather goods. A pioneer in its sector, it distinguished itself by its early adoption of digital tools, notably with the implementation of a PLM solution over 15 years ago. To support this transformation, our customer called on Fit Retail to migrate to a new version of its PLM solution (7.1). The main objective was to modernize access rights, facilitate the integration of business teams into the system, and support their digital transformation. This partnership, marked by strong collaboration, has been ongoing for over three years.

The challenge to solve 🤔

  • Integration of the Business Units involved: we had to ensure that all the entities participating in product data management and the product lifecycle were taken into account.
  • Change management: our aim is to support business teams in the adoption of Centric Software’s PLM C8, while taking into account regulatory and standards changes.
  • Training and familiarization: our mission was to provide personalized support to train users, respond to their needs and reduce resistance to change.

The benefits ✅

Our actions have led to the full integration of all the leather goods department’s trades at Longchamp. As a result of our intervention, the creation processes within the Trading department have become much smoother and faster. In addition, information transmitted to ERP systems, PIM, e-commerce sites, etc. has been made more reliable, thus reducing human intervention and input errors. Last but not least, Longchamp now benefits from complete and precise visibility over the life cycle of its products, as well as decorations, window displays, POP and in-store decoration, thus promoting a global CSR approach.
